Moxibustion (Moxa)
The warming therapy of TCM – burning mugwort close to acupuncture points creates a deep, gentle warmth. A separate, gentler version is available for children from age 3.

In moxibustion, dried mugwort (moxa) is burned close to acupuncture points, creating a deep, pleasantly gentle warmth that many patients find very soothing. In TCM, moxa is traditionally used for cold-related complaints, to strengthen the centre, and for exhaustion.
For children from the age of 3 I offer a separate, particularly gentle version: children’s moxibustion, usually combined with children’s tuina and entirely without needles. You can find the details on the “Children’s Tuina & Moxibustion” page.
In TCM, moxibustion is traditionally used as a complementary therapy – it does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment.
